Civil discourse

By speaking openly about your beliefs and opinions, you subject yourself to criticism.  This goes for anyone. Rather than criticizing or putting someone in a category, really listen… then respectfully reply.  If you agree then great.  If you disagree then discuss.  You may not be able to 100% logically defend your position, but that’s okay. It shouldn’t warrant rebuke or disfavor.

These discussions are better had face-to-face where the human element cannot be overlooked. These discussion can create a new or deeper understanding.  But remember, there is nothing new under the sun.
